Building Quality Through Systems, Competing Globally Through Standards | CNGR Group Concludes Its 2026 Quality Month, Advancing World-Class Quality in Advanced Materials

On October 20,CNGR Group successfully concluded its 2026 Quality Month campaign.Since its launch on August 20,the campaign has brought together R&D,manufacturing, supply chain, overseas operations, and all business divisions under the theme“Building Our Business on Technology,Strengthening It Through Quality,Achieving Gains in Both Quality and Efficiency, and Going Further Through Action.”Through coordinated efforts across the company, each business unit put targeted quality improvements into practice. This campaign, which lasted more than a month, was both an opportunity for business units to tackle specific challenges and a demonstration of CNGR's systematic quality management capabilities.

The advanced materials industry has entered a new stage of global competition, where consistent product quality, reliable delivery, and mature management systems have become essential competitive strengths for leading companies. As a global advanced materials company,CNGR believes that world-class product quality cannot be achieved simply by inspecting and sorting finished products. It must be built through an integrated system that covers everything from initial design and process control to quality culture. For years,CNGR has followed four overarching quality principles:“Customer First,Quality First,Pursuit of Excellence, and Full Participation.”The company has also embedded the values of“Quality Is Our Lifeline,Quality Is Our Responsibility,Quality Means Efficiency, and Quality Reflects Professionalism”throughout the entire product lifecycle.Over time, these efforts have shaped a quality management model tailored to the advanced materials industry and capable of supporting global operations. The different approaches taken by CNGR's business divisions and sites during this year's Quality Month show how this model works across a wide range of business settings.

At the R&D stage,CNGR focused on early risk prevention to address quality fluctuations between laboratory development and mass production.Guided by the principle of“Preventing Risks at the Source and Bringing Quality Control Forward,”the CNGR Research Institute integrated KCP(key control point)reviews throughout the company's“Eight New”projects.Quality safeguards were established early, covering design input submissions, process validation, and equipment selection. At the same time, quality improvement proposals were used to identify potential risks, while reviews of typical failure cases helped address problems during R&D.These efforts reflect CNGR's longstanding approach to quality management:the earlier quality risks are controlled, the lower the quality-related costs and the more stable mass production becomes.By incorporating quality requirements into R&D and design from the outset, the company can reduce rework and material losses during mass production. The goal is to achieve high-quality R&D from the beginning and stable delivery once mass production starts.

In manufacturing,CNGR strengthened quality control across every production process to address consistency challenges in large-scale production.Under the theme“Tackling Foreign-Matter Contamination and Strengthening the Foundations of Quality,”the Ningxiang,Qinzhou,Tongren, and other sites carried out coordinated improvement initiatives. These included employee-led explanations of standard operating procedures(SOPs),special audits targeting foreign-matter contamination, targeted improvement efforts involving small-particle MI,cross-contamination prevention, and testing skills competitions.Together, these measures addressed gaps in quality control across five key areas:people, machinery, materials, methods, and the environment. At the Kaiyang Site,on-site training using examples of nonconforming products, discussions on equipment management, and job skills competitions helped reinforce employees'quality responsibilities.Meanwhile,CNGR Ag-Based Materials and CNGR PGM Materials organized activities covering end-to-end quality record traceability, quality reviews, and knowledge competitions. These efforts strengthened quality traceability across every process, from raw material feeding to packaging.Behind these frontline activities is CNGR's manufacturing quality philosophy of“Controlled Processes,Reliable Results.”Every production step must serve as a quality checkpoint.Through standardized operations, digital monitoring, and closed-loop corrective actions,CNGR aims to maintain batch-to-batch consistency, even at large production volumes, and safeguard the quality of products delivered to customers.

Overseas,CNGR focused on aligning quality standards to address differences in management and control across its global operations.Under the theme“Strengthening Foundations Through Standards,Improving Quality and Efficiency,”the Indonesia region launched initiatives tailored to local operating conditions at the Morowali,North Morowali,Weda Bay,and South Kalimantan sites. These included bilingual quality training, technical document reviews to identify and correct errors, laboratory skills competitions, and quality-themed cartoon submissions. The aim was to ensure that process procedures and inspection standards were consistently implemented at every level of overseas operations. These activities reflect a core principle of CNGR's global quality management:expanding overseas is not simply about replicating production capacity. It also means extending a consistent quality management system across international operations.By maintaining the same quality requirements and management framework at domestic and overseas sites,CNGR aims to ensure consistent product quality in global deliveries and support the stable,long-term development of its international business.

From preventing risks at the R&D stage to strengthening process control in manufacturing and implementing consistent standards overseas, these initiatives across different business units demonstrate four core principles behind CNGR's approach to achieving world-class quality.First, customer needs serve as the ultimate benchmark.CNGR establishes an end-to-end,closed-loop process that connects customer requirements with execution on production lines.Second, prevention at the source is central to quality management.Quality control is moving beyond final-stage inspections towards identifying and preventing risks earlier in the process.Third, continuous improvement drives lasting progress.Effective practices developed and verified on the front lines are turned into standards that can be applied across the company's operations.Fourth,a company-wide quality culture provides the foundation.Quality responsibility is integrated into every role, becoming a shared commitment across the workforce. These are not isolated activities.Together, they form a mature quality management system that has been tested across multiple sites and business scenarios. This system is also a key strength that enables CNGR to continue serving high-end customers worldwide.

Quality Month may have an end date, but the pursuit of better quality never ends.Moving forward,CNGR will incorporate the results and improvement practices developed during this year's campaign into its systematic management processes. The company will continue refining quality control capabilities across the entire value chain, addressing weaknesses and extending successful practices to more areas of operation. As global industrial competition continues to evolve,CNGR will keep quality at the heart of its competitiveness.Through systematic quality management, standardized global delivery, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence, the company will continue creating reliable and consistent product value for customers worldwide and steadily advance towards its vision:“A Global Leading Innovator in Advanced Materials.”
